Happy New Year!
We have a lot to celebrate in 2010 at Ernst Auto Center. GM has several great vehicles in its lineup for 2010, including the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, recently named the 2010 Urban Truck of the Year by On Wheels Media, and the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, named the Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
In addition April marks our 50th year of business. We're so proud to have served Columbus and the surrounding areas with quality new and used vehicles, parts and service for such a long time.
We thank you for your business in 2009 and look forward to working with you again in 2010.
GM In the News
GM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ed Whitacre, announced recently that GM has followed through on its commitment to begin loan repayments to the U.S. and Canadian and Ontario governments. $1.0 billion has been paid to the U.S. Treasury and $192 million to Export Development Canada.
In an official statement, Whitacre expressed gratitude for the support that the governments have provided GM and is confident that the balances will be paid in full by June 2010, assuming no downturn in the economy or business.
Redesigning Luxury: Ernst Welcomes 2010 Buick LaCrosse
December 22, 2009 – Columbus, NE – Ernst Auto Center is pleased to introduce the all-new 2010 Buick LaCrosse.
The completely redesigned 2010 Buick LaCrosse luxury sedan is the newest example of the globally influenced product renaissance at Buick. It offers all-wheel drive, three efficient, powerful engines, and a suite of advanced intelligent personal technologies and safety features to attract new customers to Buick.
“The new LaCrosse defines luxury,” says John Ernst, Dealer for Ernst Auto Center in Columbus. “The attention to detail, craftsmanship and advanced technology, as well as features such as all-wheel drive and an efficient four-cylinder engine really set this sedan apart from its competitors. It’s no wonder why J.D. Power and Associates ranked the 2009 LaCrosse first in the midsize segment.”
The 2010 LaCrosse is offered in three models - CX, CXL and CXS:
- CX – equipped with a new 3.0L direct injection V-6, premium cloth seats and 17-inch wheels.
- CXL – also equipped with the new 3.0L direct injection V-6, adds leather-appointed heated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, fog lamps, outside rearview mirror with LED turn indicators and puddle lamps, and 18-inch alloy wheels. An advanced, intelligent AWD system is also available.
- CXS – equipped with a 3.6L direct injection V-6; real-time active-dampening suspension (optional); perforated, leather-appointed, heated and ventilated seats, and chrome-plated 18-inch alloy wheels (19-inch optional). The 3.6L engine, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, generates 280 horsepower (209 kW) and 259 lb.-ft. of torque (351 Nm).
All models share a sculpted, globally influenced design that is instantly recognizable as a Buick, including a signature “sweep spear” body-side styling, portholes on the hood and a waterfall grille.
The LaCrosse’s interior continues the flowing, detailed aesthetic of the exterior, with elements such as ambient lighting throughout the cabin, and contemporary favorites, such as in-dash navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, an auxiliary audio input and a USB port. For rear-seat passengers, a DVD entertainment system is offered.
LaCrosse’s strong body structure – including the use of ultra high-strength steel and standard safety features, such as six air bags, front safety belt pretensioners, lockable head restraints, front shoulder belt load limiters, collapsible brake pedals, and OnStar – make it safe and dependable.
